Mr. Nathan Ellis

BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

After high school I enlisted in the Marine Corps infantry.  Upon my honorable discharge, I enrolled in college, graduating from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in history.

LIFE VERSE

Colossians 4:5,6 – Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I was a homeschool teacher for 6 years, teaching my children, as well as hosting a  micro-school. This is my first year at Temple.

FAMILY

My wife and I have two children, a daughter and son, who are enrolled here at Temple.

HOBBIES

My favorite hobbies are reading, camping, hiking, and hunting. I love going on adventures with the family and fellowshipping with church friends.

INTERESTING FACTS

For 2 years I prayed to the Lord and asked that my earthly occupation and y calling in the Great Commission be one in the same. So the Lord opened doors for me at Temple.  He answered my prayers!

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT TEACHING

My favorite art of teaching is sharing my love of history and helping students use their God-given abilities (intellectual and spiritual) to understand the world around them from a godly perspective.
