BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
I am originally from Cinninnati, Ohio, but have lived in Virginia for the last 18 years. I was saved in 2nd grade after a Sunday School lesson. My husband and I serve at Temple Baptist Church. I have a younger brother who also now lives in Virginia. My family and I live here in Madison Heights. I graduated from Miami Univerity of Ohio in 2003 with a degree in Psychology.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I began teaching first grade five years ago and love seeing the students grow throughout the year. Previously, I have taugh high school math and substituted in various grades.
FAMILY
My husband, Pete and I have married for 19 years and have three kids. Stephen (15), Emma (12), and Eleanor (8). Pete is a Pastor at Temple Baptist Church, and my kids all attend Temple Christian School. We have a sweet pup named Cocoa and a cat named Artie.
HOBBIES
I enjoy reading, cultivating and propagating house plants, birdfeeders and camping.
WHY I ENJOY TEACHING
What I love about teaching – I love seeing students learn to read. As a child comes into first grade not able to read many words, they will learn more and more, and at the end of the year be able to ready whole paragraphs and pages. That is so exciting!
